Forum: GratefulDead Subject: A Sunday Night Shakedown

Just goes to prove that you can't keep a good man down. Brady and Co. took advantage of numerous Jets miscues and made my night. Which brings me to today. On the way to work I was looking for a show that would carry over the good vibes from last night's game and I happened on an old stand-by. Not only is it as hot show, but, like Mr. Brady last night, it also features a superior player leaving a crater in New York.

1 Tuning 1:26
2 Shakedown Street 13:12
3 New Minglewood Blues 7:16
4 They Love Each Other 7:40
5 El Paso 4:48
6 Jack-a-Roe 4:47
7 Little Red Rooster 9:38
8 High Time 8:47
9 Cassidy > 5:54
10 Althea 8:41
11 The Music Never Stopped 9:11
12 Cold Rain & Snow > 6:23
13 Samson and Delilah 8:37
14 It Must Have Been The Roses 8:05
15 Estimated Prophet > 13:48
16 Eyes of the World > 12:03
17 Drums > 7:18
18 Space > 2:31
19 Lost Sailor > 6:42
20 Saint of Circumstance > 6:44
21 Wharf Rat > 10:13
22 Sugar Magnolia 9:10
23 Don't Ease Me In 3:23

One of my favorite Shakedowns sets the pace for this beast; right out of the gates Jerry lets the crowd know that they are in for a serious pummeling. Both playing and vocals are top notch, ultra-funky and jammed out. THAT is how you start a show. I won't go too deep into details, I'll just say that this one will surely leave your head as dazed and confused as Bob Ryan (but this is will be in a good way) if you decide to give it a spin.

Happy Monday one and all. Even you Jets fans.

Someday the whole SBD may appear, but in the meantime Mr. Wise's AUD is about as good as they get.

When the full SBD is found, this would make for a fine matrix candidate.

We shall see Thursday night. They need a resounding win to restore confidence, which will be quite tough in Dever. While Tebow hasn't been spectacular he has been finding ways to win. Short rest and the altitude will be hard to overcome, but it will show just how much heart the team has. I'm no ready to write them off just yet, but Thursday is a must win (all of the Pat's remaining games are versus sub .500 teams).

Well of course they aren't done - they still have 7 games left for Ryan to screw up for them.

Of course thay aren't done yet and I am a Pats fan and I thought the Pats would lose last night by the way the D has played this year and especially the last 2 games and the way the Jets have played the last two games but give the Pats all the credit they came into NY and were the better team but you have to admit the Jets just made it harder on themselves by last night's loss and especially with the Wild Card when both the Ravens and the Titans are ahead of them and Cinci is playing pretty well while as long as the Pats play well they have set themselves up nicely the rest of the way!
